Mr. W came to us 11 months after his hip replacement surgery. He had returned to refereeing football matches and was nearly back to his regular gym routine. However, he still struggled with certain movements, such as reaching his foot to put on shoes and socks, and experienced discomfort when side-stepping while refereeing.
His goal was clear: to easily reach his foot for everyday tasks like putting on shoes and socks, and to touch his left toes again—something he could do comfortably before the surgery.
After three months of focused manual therapy—including soft tissue releases around the pelvis, muscle stretching both in treatment and at home, and progressive strengthening exercises for his hips—Mr. W can now put on his shoes and socks with ease and move naturally again.
Mr. W exemplifies the determination we see in many of our patients, always pushing for progress and refusing to settle for anything less than their best.
